Buyer

As a member of Power Systems, you will work with other members of the Purchasing Department to order components and contact suppliers for product availability, pricing and shipping status to fulfill customer’s orders and to replenish Power Systems inventory. You will also work with members of the warehouse to ensure accuracy of Power Systems inventory.

Responsibilities will include:

• Enter purchase orders for Power Systems stock and for direct ship customer orders
• Verify factory acknowledgements to Power Systems purchase orders for accuracy in part number, quantity and pricing. Also keying of acknowledgement dates into computer
• Expediting of Power Systems purchase orders with factory
• Weekly cycle counts of Power Systems inventory and keying of corrections into computer. Also tabulating of numbers to report to corporate
• Keeping computer up to date on current suppliers prices, part numbers and contacts
• Verifying of new part numbers set up by other members of Power Systems for accuracy
• Reconcile any factory invoices that don’t match Power Systems purchase orders
• Work with factory on returns and damaged product
• Review & reconcile weekly freight invoice report

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills and MS Office package
• Ability to learn and apply new information quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Good problem-solving and reasoning skills
