We are actively recruiting for a Data Scientist, Process Development Engineer to join our POC (Process Optimization & Controls) group here in Santa Clara, CA. This role aims to develop state of the art machine learning methods to achieve faster cycles of learnings in highly nonlinear and complex semiconductor capital equipment space. The role requires creativity and outside-the-box thinking to engineer customized solutions that combines physical understanding, domain expertise and experimental data to create predictive models that meets tight specifications of on-wafer results for chip manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Accelerate semiconductor process development by designing customized Machine Learning (ML) algorithms from first principles Work with semiconductor domain experts to identify high value process problems and define them as data science problems with clear assumptions, objectives, and accuracy requirements. Utilize advanced modelling and optimization methods to create actionable insights in sparse, noisy, highly complex, and uncertain process spaces Design and implement generalizable and scalable algorithms in a team environment, define specifications for productization and deployment Effectively communicate highly complex analytical concepts and insights to audiences outside the organization with varying degrees of expertise and leadership Collaborate with internal groups to analyze and make conclusions for actionable intelligence from experimental data Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Skills Certifications: Languages: Years of Experience: 4 - 7 Years Work Experience: Additional Information Travel: Not Specified Relocation Eligible: Yes U.S. Salary Range: $164,000.00 - $225,500.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
