Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler will have a background in machine/equipment/drive assemblies.
Duties/Responsibilities/Skills:
- Knowledge of hand assembly/fitting with ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
- Understanding and general knowledge of hand tools, electrical powered tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, vendor materials, and written instructions.
- Knowledge of basic plant safety and familiar with fractions and decimals.
- Understanding of Material Handling Equipment (e.g. carts, dollies, forklifts, cranes, and pallet trucks.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associates Degree in related field preferred.
- Job training for this position is provided by supervisor.
- Fork truck driving ability a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time and work safely from a ladder.
- Prolonged periods of standing/sitting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.63 - $24.49 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
