Job Description: The main task of Technical Documentation Specialist is to produce the manual in order to describe the solution delivered. The Mission of the role is also to advise the customer on the principal Maintenance procedure, included in the manuals to keep a good trend of the machine’s performances. This position will be to collaborate with the engineering, software, service, and sales teams and across all other areas of Applied Vision supporting the delivery of innovative, transformative and supportive software/hardware solutions.
Essential Function and Responsibilities: Reviews information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed documentation.
· Collect all the documentation needed to write software and hardware User Manuals
· Documenting and formatting manufacturing procedures/work instructions given by the Manufacturing Engineer
· Study and analyze the machinery and their functionality, through comparison with all the Engineering Department and PM through consultation of project documentation
· Write and set up the technical manuals for the use of machines accompanied by illustrations and technical drawings;
· Maintain all the documentation aligned in a soft copy according to the machine and software changes
· Write the main maintenance procedures;
· Review and update of the existing technical documentation, in order to make it homogeneous from the point of view of the setting, the information contained and in reference to the graphic aspect.
· Collects the screen shots;
· Reviews and proofreads material written by other documentation staff to provide the styles and standards approval needed for release.
· Reviews design documentation to give end user input into the review process.
· Tracks documents through review process, verifying that the documents are thoroughly reviewed and in a timely manner.
· Maintains the project’s table of contents and index entries.
· Conducts deployments and/or supports the deployment activity for help topics and release notes.
· All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Technical, English, or Communication related fields preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in a related profession (notably in software development, manufacturing) creating technical documentation preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Graphic Editing, and Help Authoring software.
- Ability to communicate and write technical guidance.
- Proven proficiency in creating and maintaining accurate and useful documentation. Knowledge to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. Advanced writing and technical knowledge.
- Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
