Job Description:
Aptiva Health is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team! We are looking for someone experienced in medical coding and billing.
A qualified candidate will have experience in various practice management software, medical coding, medical billing, claim-scrubbing, working ERA's, and other normal job functions associated with medical billing and coding. Job Duties:
- Reviewing medical procedures as documented by providers.
- Have a good understanding of Medical Billing Based on Medical Decision- Making (MDM) guidelines.
- Strong understanding of the MDM guidelines related to documentation requirements.
- Translating medical procedures into CPT codes that can be translated by payers, other medical coders, and other medical facilities.
- Transmitting coded patient treatment information to payers and other recipients.
- Determining proper ICD-10 diagnoses codes based on provider documentation.
- Coordinating insurance reimbursement of care providers.
- Handling patient billing, coding, follow-up, insurance credentialing, and A/R management.
- Familiarity with special projects, claim re-submissions, corrected claims, and appeals processes.
- Ability to self-manage, self-start, be punctual, and have close attention to detail.
- Proficient in generating reports and communicating with clients via teleconference and in-person.
- 60 WPM typing
- Proficient in data entry, coding, billing, payment posting, working ERA's, and setting up EFT's.
- Possesses superior computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
