The Aquarium Restaurant, located in Opry Mills Mall is seeking a full-time Biologist/Aquarist. The Aquarium includes over 200,000 gallons of aquatic exhibits and 1,000 fish, represented in a collection of a hundred species.

Some of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining exhibit aesthetics, water quality and life support systems
- Inspecting and evaluating the condition of exhibits and life support to determine and/or participate in necessary repairs and modifications
- Participating in the development and delivery of interpretive programs, including public speaking and direct interaction with Aquarium guests
- Ensuring that all records are up to date and complete
- Provide diving assistance to the department, which may include spotting other divers
- Maintaining support areas
- Feed and care for animals residing in exhibits as directed by Life Sciences staff
- Communicate problems with animals and exhibits to the Curator

- Have a high school education and are currently working on or have completed a college degree.
- Although qualified candidates can be trained, knowledge of aquarium systems, aquatic biology, and prior aquarium experience are preferred. A degree in Zoology, Biology or related field is beneficial, but experience with aquatic animal husbandry may be considered.
- Must hold a valid PADI, SSI, or NAUI dive certification.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
