What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Aquatics Management Inc.?
We are currently looking for a Welder. This position will be working in a machine shop for the dedicated purpose of manufacturing components, structure, and machines. This role includes setting up and operating welders to hand weld products in a safe, efficient, quality, and ergonomic manner, performing welding operations on various metals and alloys to produce a wide variety of products with high strength and pressure requirements. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16", have strong math skills and have the ability to read micrometers. TIG and MIG experience is REQUIRED!
Essential Functions
- Ability to learn how to read blueprints/technical drawings and fabricate from work orders.
- Continuously produces, at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
- Produces acceptable-quality welds with good workmanship and very few rejects. Reads and understands weld prints and symbols.
- Must be able to keep a clean work area
- Fabricate components, structures, and machinery from print.
- MUST HAVE Strong welding skills in (TIG & MIG) Stainless, Tube Steel
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a weld certification test that involves visual inspection, UT test and/or lab testing
- FCAW process experience preferred
- Some College/Vocational Welding Program or Coursework and/or minimum 3-year experience Preferred
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 years technical training and at least one year of experience working in a welding position or equivalent of the two.
Schedule and Compensation
- Immediate openings on 1st shift! 6am-2 pm, Monday through Friday and possibly weekends as needed.
- Starting pay at $17-$22 per hour, based on experience.
