What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Assistant Professor of Physics position at Aquinas College?
Aquinas College seeks applications for adjunct instructors with qualifications to teach Physics. Immediate course needs are for General Physics (mechanics, electricity, magnetism), including laboratory. Future course needs may include modern physics, astronomy, and/or elective courses.
Positions available in the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Essential duties are to teach courses as determined by the department chairperson each semester and provide effective support to students within and outside of the classroom. The adjunct will report to the chair of the department, who will conduct regular teaching evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A qualified candidate will have a master's degree in Physics or a closely-related discipline and relevant experience. Earned Ph.D. or ABD in Physics preferred.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Willingness to support the Dominican and Catholic values of the College
