Production Technician – Malvern, AR

At Arauco Malvern MDF and Mouldings, we have multiple entry production job opportunities. A brief summary of each position is listed below.

Production Utility (Moulding) – Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively. Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment. General cleaning of work area and surroundings. Banding together units at the end of each production run.

Facility Utility (MDF) – Support mill operations through housekeeping, maintenance support and vacation coverage for operational roles. Execute required housekeeping and clean-up based on defined cleaning schedules. Participate in recovery of upset conditions to return mill and/or equipment to established standards. Execute general labor as required: painting, fire watch, confined space, etc.

Packaging (MDF) - Packaging the finished product and applying any customer specific labeling and packaging materials. Verifying the cut unit dimensions and unit pc counts. Electronically entering data, from various orders, producing tickets and attaching them to units prior to placement in the finished warehouse. Protecting the customer from receiving a substandard product. Safely operating the lift truck and visually inspecting units prior to placing units in the designated bays.

Production Lift Driver (MDF and Moulding) – Safely and efficiently operate the Production Lift while ensuring wood is moved efficiently from the production lines, sander and saw. Ensure proper sticker placement on each unit stacked on the floor. Properly complete paperwork and computer entries for orders.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wear proper PPE at all times as required
• Be lock-out certified for the area
• Ensure control room/area remains neat and clean
• Be aware of personnel working in the area
• Ensure Arauco exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business
• Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
• Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime
• Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
• Report all safety incidents (including near misses)
• Know location of all fire equipment and how to use

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to complete repetitive tasks
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Manufacturing or factory experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred

While performing the duties of these jobs, the employee will be regularly exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; in and around construction environments; use hand tools/power tools and is around vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All positions listed are safety sensitive and will be subject to drug testing – both pre-employment and random.
