Responsibilities include following standard recipes, production sheets, tallies and ingredient room sheet to achieve nutritious, high-quality, cost-effective meals and handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.
The Ideal Candidate Is Someone Who
- Has 5-7 years of experience as a cook or equivalent education
- Can competently and accurately processes and prepares diet and nourishment orders for patients with knowledge and understanding of therapeutic diets and allergies.
- Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- has knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including various types of preparation and related routines as well as maintenance and operation of all kitchen equipment.
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.
- Required education and experience- Approximately 5 year’s experience in high volume food production, or 7 years’ relevant experience in lieu of education with director approval.
- Preferred education and experience— High school diploma/ GED
- ServSafe Manager Certification, Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
