Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and coordination of safety programs and policies
- Maintain safety records, including incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
- Conduct safety inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs
- Support the investigation of accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Generate reports and compile data related to safety performance and metrics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a safety-related role or relevant field is highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management software is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the utilities industry
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety goals
