Description:
We are a Psych Facility/Doctor office looking for a MA / TMS Tech (Medical Assistant).
Main location will be at McKinney location with an occasional workday at Sherman location.
Perform a wide variety of patient care activities including:
- Maintaining clinical records/documentation, taking vital signs and preparing patients for test, Transcribing, procedures and psych evaluations. Able to multitask and has ability to communicate well.
- Will perform screenings and verify patient information, by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
- Maintains safe secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- May provide a variety of administrative/clerical duties, scheduling patient appointments, answering the phones collecting data and forwarding to the appropriate staff. Calling pharmacy and completing paperwork for providers as needed.
- May provide occasional working supervision to non-licensed medical and/or clerical office support personnel for clerical functions or other non-clinical activities.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional presentation and demeanor.
Qualifications:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (required)
- College Degree preferred
- 2 years’ experience in a medical office
- Experience with EMR Medical terminology
- Psychiatry experience a plus
