About the Position

As a Part-Time Driver, you will provide safe and reliable transportation for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to and from our Adult Day Program. You’ll play a vital role in their daily routine, helping them maintain independence and access to critical services.

We are currently hiring for morning and afternoon shifts, and are open to hiring one or two individuals to cover the schedule. Applicants may apply for one or both shifts.

Please note: Drivers must be comfortable operating a larger vehicle (e.g., full-size van) provided by the company.

What You’ll Do

• Drive a company vehicle to transport clients between their homes (Oroville/Biggs area)
• Maintain a safe, courteous, and timely driving schedule
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy, and refuel as needed
• Complete daily driving logs and communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor
• Support the overall well-being and dignity of all passengers during transport

Shift Schedule

• Morning Shift: 7:30 – 10:00 or 10:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• Flexibility: Candidates may apply for either shift or both
• Expected Hours: 12 - 15 hours per week, depending on availability and assignment

What You’ll Bring

• A valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfort and confidence in driving a larger vehicle, such as a full-size van
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and TB screening
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills
• A compassionate, professional approach to working with individuals with disabilities
• Experience in transportation or social services (preferred but not required)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $17-$21 per hour, depending on the assignment and experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel locally, within Bute County, to meet with clients and employers.
• Ability to assist clients with mobility or other physical needs in the workplace as required.
• Ability to work in various office and community settings.
