Position Title: Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist
Reports To: PSR Program Manager / Clinical Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Purpose of the Position:
The PSR Specialist is responsible for delivering person-centered, recovery-oriented services that promote independent living skills, socialization, and increased community integration for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. This position supports individuals in developing the functional skills necessary to achieve and maintain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct group and individual PSR sessions that promote development of daily living skills, coping mechanisms, and interpersonal skills.

Assist participants in setting and working toward individualized treatment goals.

Provide services in accordance with each participant’s individualized support plan or treatment plan.

Collaborate with the treatment team (including case managers, therapists, and other direct support staff) to ensure continuity of care.

Document all services provided accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Medicaid, APD, and agency standards.

Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to service planning and progress reviews.

Support clients in accessing community resources and building natural supports.

Promote independence, dignity, and respect for all program participants.

Monitor and report behavioral changes, incidents, and progress to the PSR Manager.

Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

Follow all agency policies, HIPAA regulations, and professional ethics guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with mental health or developmental disabilities.

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Valid Florida Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Successful completion of Level 2 background screening.
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to walk, stand, bend, and engage in physical activities as needed to assist clients.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with developmental differences is desired.
Good communication and writing skills are required.
Must have valid Florida driver's license with good driving record, be able to pass a DOT physical and be willing and able to drive agency vehicles.
Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
Salary : $13 - $17
