Production Supervisor

We are currently looking for an energetic Production Team Lead in the Arden, NC area.
Main Activities:
- Responsibility for leading the day-to-day operation that drives plant performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Training and maintaining positive employee relations while driving significant change.
- Provide active and positive leadership in the effort to drive a cultural shift.
- Communicate effectively, proactively and in cooperation with other departments including maintenance, logistics, scheduling, and purchasing.
- Develop and understanding of the performance reporting systems and apply learnings.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
- Handle personnel issues such as: Coaching as needed to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, providing individual feedback and performance coaching to operators, assigning corrective actions, and managing timekeeping for the shift.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the production manager.
Primary Duties
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains staff by recruiting, hiring, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. - Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results on shift production summaries.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop plans and organize work in a manner that support exceeding daily standard production rates while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Leads/supports assigned teams in continuous improvement projects.
- Performs administrative tasks such as vacation/payroll/discipline/performance review management and helps monitor the labor and operations budget.
