Professional Body Piercer

Overview
Arcadia Professional Body Piercing is looking to add a friendly, experienced piercer to our team. We are a mid-volume studio that is open seven days a week and accepts both appointments and walk-ins, located in historic Brookline, MA. Arcadia is a disposable studio and uses jewelry from companies such as BVLA, Modern Mood, Pupil Hall, Anatometal, Neometal, Hialeah, Ember, LeRoi, and Body Gems. We operate out of Statim G4s and also have a Statim 2000 on site.

Duties

• Perform a variety of piercings, jewelry changes, and removals
• Maintain a clean piercing room and perform cleaning in accordance with studio policies
• Inform clients of aftercare for fresh piercings in accordance with studio policies
• Assist clients with jewelry selection occasionally as well as cashing clients out if the front of house is busy
• Complete extended education including blood borne pathogens, first aid/CPR, APP conference, etc.
• Have a calm and professional bedside manner when dealing with all individuals but especially nervous or young clients
• Have an eye for jewelry and gemstone combinations when curating a client's piercings
• Act accordingly if a client faints during a piercing
• Provide continued assistance to clients during healing

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience piercing in a professional studio
• Experience working with threadless/internally threaded jewelry
• Must be able to pass a background check per the Town of Brookline
• Have a solid online portfolio of up to date work
• Freehand piercer preferred (we do not reprocess so the less tools you use, the better)

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
