Arcadia Strategy Group is looking for a Cryptocurrency Analyst to support a Federal Government Customer. This role supports mission-critical analysis of cryptocurrency activity, blockchain technologies, and digital-asset ecosystems. The analyst will apply technical, analytical, and investigative skills to assess risks, trace activity, and produce high-quality reporting.
Location: McLean, VA
Description of Program
- Analyze cryptocurrency transactions, blockchain activity, and digital-asset ecosystems to identify trends, risks, illicit activity, and emerging threats.
- Conduct blockchain tracing and attribution analytics tools to support investigations and analytical assessments.
- Evaluate cryptocurrency exchanges, mixers, wallets, DeFi platforms, NFTs, and related technologies for compliance, risk exposure, and misuse.
- Produce clear, well-structured written products, briefings, and analytical reports for government stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Integrate financial, cyber, and intelligence data from multiple sources to develop actionable insights.
- Monitor developments in cryptocurrency regulations, technologies, and adversary tradecraft, and assess implications for the government mission.
- Collaborate with investigators, analysts, and technical teams across disciplines to support ongoing operations and taskings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, cybersecurity, intelligence studies, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Demonstrated experience analyzing cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or digital-asset activity.
- Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, including wallets, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, and common transaction typologies.
- Experience using blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or similar) or strong familiarity with open-source blockchain analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical writing and briefing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently on sensitive, time-critical tasks while maintaining attention to detail and analytical rigor.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (active TS/SCI polygraph clearance preferred).
