Role Accountabilities:
As a Structural Engineer with our Resilience Water team, you will play a crucial role in delivering engineering and consulting services for various projects. These include treatment plant facility upgrades, infrastructure resilience, waterfront/shoreline stability, stormwater management, and distribution/collection system design. Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory specifications.
- Conducting structural engineering investigations.
- Developing technical calculations, drawings, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions that meet industry codes and standards.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Traveling, as needed, for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of relevant structural engineering design experience
- Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- EIT Certification or PE license
- Strong structural analysis and design skills, including experience with STAAD Pro and other structural software
- Strong technical writing and editing skills
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT software
- Excellent knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC and ACI
