Arch Reinsurance Company – Treaty Underwriting Operations Assistant supports production staff, “the underwriters”, department-wide in the underwriting and administration of Casualty, Property and Specialty transactions, provides exceptional service to our Broker/Cedent clients and to our Treaty Underwriting team.
Job Responsibilities:
Support to Underwriters will include:
- Utilize broker portals for submission downloads
- Input statistical data into system
- Gather and organize all data information to ensure documentation is filed and setup appropriate, download modeling data
- Communicate and follow up as needed with underwriters and other departments to ensure information is accurate in system
- Participate in and sometimes lead monthly team huddles
- Miscellaneous underwriting support/projects
- Assist with research on prospects, financial analysis as needed using S&P, D&B, AM Best or other financial sources
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Understanding of reinsurance terminology
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$55,300 - $75,000/Year
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
