JOB OVERVIEW
A Caregiver is a dedicated professional tasked with providing essential support to individuals who are unable to fully care for themselves. Operating in diverse environments such as homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, or community centers, caregivers play a pivotal role in assisting clients with daily activities, personal care, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities encompass aiding with tasks like bathing, dressing, and mobility, as well as managing medication and preparing nutritious meals.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in need, including elderly, disabled, or chronically ill individuals by :
- Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Providing medication reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning individuals
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients
- Implementing behavior management techniques as needed
