ABOUT US
Arch Street Builders is a residential construction company specializing in high-quality renovations and additions throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to take ownership of field work, quality, and day-to-day execution on our projects.
WHAT WE DO
Our work includes:
- Basements (finishing, lighting changes, small structural modifications, LVP flooring)
- Kitchens and bathrooms
- Decks and exterior renovations
- Full custom interior and exterior remodels
- Home additions and structural renovations
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a hands-on field position.
Responsibilities include:-
- Assisting lead carpenter with daily carpentry tasks
- Performing basic framing, demolition, and finish work
- Installing trim, doors, and hardware under supervision
- Jobsite setup, organization, and cleanup
- Learning proper construction methods, sequencing, and safety practices
- Taking direction and asking questions when needed
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of residential carpentry or construction experience
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and jobsite practices
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Professional attitude and respect for occupied homes
TOOLS & TRANSPORTATION
- Power tools provided by Arch Street Builders
- Hand tools required (tool belt, layout tools, etc.)
- Reliable personal transportation required (not for material handling)
- Company gas card provided immediately
- Local work throughout Southeastern PA
PAY STRUCTURE
- 1099 independent contractor position to start
- Independent contractor liability insurance required
- Pay rate adjusted to account for 1099 status, including: * A portion of liability insurance costs * A portion of personal health insurance costs
- Consistent, ongoing work for the right candidate
- Potential transition to W-2 for long-term fit
