Job Responsibilities
· Provide labor intensive assistance for Geotechnical Drilling Crew to include:
· Assist Driller with soil borings, soil sampling, rock coring, and visual soil classification and documentation
· Hauling supplies to and from the drill site
· Manual material handling
· Mixing drilling fluids
· Logging boreholes
· Perform other duties as assigned, such as staking boring locations, site reconnaissance, and completing hand auger borings or test pit excavations
Job Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED
· Must be able to work flexible hours and travel out of town when necessary
· Successful completion of a physical, pre-employment drug screen and background check
· The ability to lift 50-70 lbs on a regular basis and to work 8 hours per day
· Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Must complete all work in a safe manner
· Experience with heavy equipment or construction equipment operation preferred
· Drilling experience preferred, but not required
· Valid driver’s license. Commercial driver’s license is a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is based on experience and capabilities. This is an hourly position that pays 1.5x for overtime. Overtime is frequent but not guaranteed.
