Position Summary
The Labor Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing certified payroll and labor compliance requirements across prevailing wage projects. This role works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and state agencies to ensure full compliance with DIR regulations and evolving prevailing wage laws. Trade specific experience is not required, the focus is on labor compliance and subcontractor oversight.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports
• Manage labor compliance for prevailing wage projects using LCPtracker or similar systems
• Interface with DIR and respond to audits, inquiries, and requests
• Track prevailing wage classifications, rates, and compliance documentation
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with certified payroll and labor laws
• Stay current on changes to prevailing wage regulations and labor compliance laws
• Support internal teams with labor compliance guidance and best practices
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for public works projects
Project Environment
• Approximately 90 plus prevailing wage projects
• Mix of smaller and larger volume public works jobs
• Heavy focus on subcontractor labor compliance rather than trade specific work
Qualifications
• 5 plus years of labor compliance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements
• Experience working with DIR and public works compliance
• Familiarity with LCPtracker strongly preferred
• Sam Pro experience is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Clear communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary range $70,000 to $80,000, flexible based on experience
