At Areté, we are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team and someone who can bolster our science and engineering initiatives. The Systems Engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure. The system engineer will interact with the development teams, production teams, program leadership and customer regarding technical considerations and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities. This position can be based out of Tucson, AZ or Northridge, CA office and is an exempt, full-time role.

Experiences and Background We Look For:

• Eligible to obtain and hold a Secret / Top Secret clearance.
• Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available.
• Assist in the development of requirements derivation, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification.
• Conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system.
• Support test events at multiple test event sites.
• Experiences and Background We Look For: Degree background Systems. Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 yrs. experience with BS/BA
  • 0 yrs. experience with MS/MA

Nice to have:

• Jama for Requirements and Test Management
• Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $105,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Other Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
