What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Argonaut Constructors, Inc?

As a Project Coordinator at Argonaut Constructors, you are expected to be a strategic and results-oriented person so that you may execute our project coordination efforts and drive project performance and growth. You will provide direct support to the Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and the Foremen and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all tasks that relate to our projects. You also play a critical role in developing and implementing project strategies, optimizing project processes, and providing support to the company's overall business objectives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend job specific meetings: Post Award Preview Mtg., Budget Review Mtg., Hand-off Mtg., Owner Pre-construction Mtg., Weekly Job Mtg., Job Close-out Mtg. 
  • Complete Office Information and Pre-lien Sheet, and maintain job books, including coordination with the Project Manager regarding specific job requirements. 
  • Set-up job in Vista (import & verify budget), create job specific contact list, adjust internal/subcontractor budgets as needed.
  •  Monitor daily/weekly job progress, Heavyjob timecard review, Material/Subcontractor Entry (MSE) cost accruals, scan field tags/save hard copies, pull cost analysis reports from Heavyjob for distribution to the Team.
  • Assist Project Manager with meeting minutes, submittals, RFI’s, transmittals, monthly billing applications and sub-pay entry and compliance, (union letters, certified payroll, lien releases, and insurance certs) contacting vendors and subcontractors.
  • Manage Extra Work, including logs, compiling extra work bills in Nice Touch, and submission to Project Managers/clients.
  • Contract/Subcontract Change Orders tracking and entry.
  • Validate subcontractor monthly billings, obtain PM’s final approval. 
  • At completion of the job, will handle all job close out documents and procedures.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in the civil construction industry.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge relevant to the role through ongoing professional development activities.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and resources to complete the tasks on a variety of projects
  • Coordination with Project Manager, Superintendent and Foreman to ensure that everyone works together for completion of the project
  • Ability to work with internal and external parties to organize all the components needed to initiate and conclude the project.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent use of computer skills such as email / Outlook 365, Microsoft Word and Excel, Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam. Vista accounting software is also utilized, but Argonaut will provide training on this software system.

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
