What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Shelter Coordinator position at Arise Lawrence County?
The Emergency Shelter Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations at Arise Lawrence County's Emergency Shelter. The Qualified candidate should have a deep understanding of victim advocacy principles and a strong desire to serve individuals with Direct Service in a trauma informed setting. The coordinator must possess strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities. The coordinator assists the Residential Director of Services in implementing trainings, data entry, and solutions to logistics towards a Residential environment. Candidate must have an aptitude for working with individuals, families, and large groups to be successful in this position. At least 3 years of supervisory experience and a degree in the appropriate field are not required but preferred.
Other Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency services or a related field
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and protocols
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Familiarity with addiction counseling, behavioral health, childcare, social work, or related fields is a plus
- Proven ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
