Job Description
The Billing Manager for ASU Health Services oversees the insurance team and ensures billing, payments and adjustments are done within insurance industry standards and insurance information is capture accurately in PnC. They also work with insurance companies to review, evaluate and appeal claims. Critical to the mission of ASU and ASU Health Services, this position ensures that billing is processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with department practices and insurance regulations.

Essential Duties
- Use computer equipment and multiple software programs, extended periods of viewing screen and using mouse and keyboard
- Communicate effectively to perform essential duties
- Answer phones and emails
- Work in an office setting using standard office equipment (i.e., telephone, copier, fax machine, printer, scanner)
- May sit or stand for extended periods of time
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Nine (9) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualificiations
- Evidence of an Associate’s Degree and/or Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding (or other related field) or at least two years of medical billing/payment posting experience for a family practice.
- Experience with Point and Click, or equivalent Electronic Medical Records system.
