DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the Housing & Residential Life conduct system including scheduling, rescheduling, and sending notification letters to students through the Advocate database
· Manage the unit’s cental email inbox
· Centrally manage the administrative completion of sanctions issued to students during conduct hearings
· Develop a semesterly conduct hearing schedule, evenly distributing the case load among all hearing officers and create a conduct shadowing schedule for new staff members in Community Director roles
· Coordinate Appeal Hearings at the direction of the Associate Director
· Manage the overdue/incomplete sanction process using the University system, UAccess, by placing and lifting holds on student accounts and/or posting fees on students Bursar accounts
· Manage and coordinate behavioral education meetings, courses or trainings, which includes scheduling facilitators, rooms, and participants as well as updating course content and preparation of materials as needed; and communicate arrangements to appropriate individuals
· Work with Housing & Residential Life Marketing unit to ensure Conduct Website is up to date at all times
· Implement new policies, procedures or practices as directed by supervisor
· Serve as liaison to faculty, staff, students and parents, outside agencies and the public concerning information or complaints regarding the conduct system
· Assist in the development and execution of training for both Community Directors and Resident Assistants as it relates to Student Behavoral Education
· Manage on-call resources made available to Community Directors On-Call as well as Managers on Duty
· Assist in identifying critical situations that should be brought to the attention of the Associate Director of Student Behavioral Education through phone calls, one-on-one interaction with students as well as through Incident Reports
· Perform a variety of administrative duties, including handling mail, ordering office and training supplies, screening phone calls and visitors to appropriate staff members
· Organize and maintain student files both digital and physical formats; compose replies to correspondence on own initiative, interpret and explain established policy and procedure in response to inquiries from a variety of sources
· Run data reports and summarize information to facilitate review by supervisor on a routine basis, as needed by supervisor and/or unit.
· Investigate, evaluate, and resolve problems within scope of position
· Assist with various departmental activities during the August student move-in process
