- Direct
and ensure the operational progress, monitoring, evaluation and
achievement of all OEDI strategic goals.
In collaboration with the associate dean, create and manage OEDI budget for all programs and activities in compliance with University finance standards. - Maintain, develop and ensure operational practices for OEDI.
- Supervise OEDI staff.
- Prepare an annual report illustrating OEDI strategic plan progress and accomplishments.
- Oversee data collection of program activities and initiatives for reporting purposes including LCME reports, college reports, etc.
- Lead Pre-K to 16 pathway programs including Mobile Medical School Program, Connect2Mentor Program and Cardiology Academy.
- Direct activities including Health Month, Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series, special conferences, etc.
- Assist in recruitment of prospective medical students, residents and faculty by attending local, regional and national organization meetings.
- Responsible for the marketing and communication of OEDI including, but not limited to, monthly newsletter, fliers/posters, email communications, etc.
- Attend meetings, events and activities in place of the associate dean, as necessary.
- Assist Health Equity co-directors in teaching health equity related content to pathway students, medical students, residents, fellows and postdocs.
- Help create faculty development tools and faculty trainings related to health equity topics.
- In collaboration with research associate design equity, diversity and inclusion research projects.
- Seek and write grants for extramural funding for equity, diversity and inclusion research project.
- Draft and review manuscripts, abstracts and other scholarly work for publication/presentation.
- Conduct presentations on scholarly work at conferences.
- Lead continuous quality improvement projects for OEDI programs and activities.
