Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and motivated Teacher Aide to support our lead teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The Teacher Aide assists with classroom activities, supervision, and daily care routines. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a licensed child care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum
• Supervise children during play, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Support children with personal hygiene (diapering, toileting, handwashing)
• Prepare and serve snacks and meals as needed
• Observe and report any behavioral, emotional, or developmental concerns to the teacher or director
• Help with classroom set-up and clean-up, including sanitizing toys and surfaces
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

Qualifications (Compliant with Title 22):

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• No minimum ECE units required for an aide position under Title 22
• (However, ECE units or enrollment in early childhood courses is a plus and may lead to advancement)
• Must pass criminal background check, including fingerprint clearance (Live Scan)
• Must have proof of immunizations:
• Must complete a health screening and TB test
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and interact actively with children on the floor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.63 per hour
