What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Hospital Attendant position at Ark Animal Hospital?

We are a privately owned hospital providing state-of-the-art care in a community that expects the best care available for their pets. As a Veterinary Hospital Attendant, you are an invaluable piece of the overall success of our hospital. Our ideal candidate must be polite at all times, able to multitask, flexible and must be able to think independently. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes two Saturday shifts a month. Flexibility with your schedule and good attendance is a must.

Responsibilities are included but not limited to:
Facility
1. Help oversee/ shop for hospital- must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
2. Stock exam rooms/monitor
3. Ensure hospital is opened/closed by using checkoff lists
Cleaning
1. Maintain a clean parking lot and front of the hospital
2. Clean and stock rooms for supplies after every appointment
3. Maintain laundry
4. Assist with cleaning and stocking in the surgical department
Patient care
1. Work with Doctors and techs to help properly restrain animals when needed
2. Help walk, feed and clean cages of hospitalized and surgical patients as needed
3. Maintain open communication between multiple departments regarding patients and room progress
4. Maintain and monitor patient schedule and help assist the flow of the day
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
