About the position: As the Licensing/Credentialing Lead, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day processes of the Licensing/Credentialing team to ensure the appropriate processes are in place to monitor and maintain systematic, timely Licensing, credentialing and re-credentialing with medical boards, various payer organizations and agencies across multiple states.
What you'll do:
- Develops and implements an efficient, effective licensing/credentialing processes while always pushing the status quo
- Assists in the development of the annual licensing/credentialing plan for Arkana physician staff
- Creates and maintains an effective training and development plan for the licensing/credentialing department to perform at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness creating a culture that always moves forward and rejects the status quo
- Maintains working knowledge of licensing/credentialing requirements for various states, payers and agencies and communicate knowledge with internal teams
- Completes licensure applications for submission to the appropriate state medical boards as well as aggregating all supplemental information requested by the boards for licensure as needed
- Finishes Credentialing applications for submission to the appropriate payers as needed
- Creates and maintains of physician profiles and credentialing data in the Licensing/Credentialing software program
- Assists with the contract processes with insurance networks
- EFT and ERA Enrollment as part of the credentialing process
- Communicates licensing/credentialing statuses with internal teams and management
- Manages multiple provider licensing/credentialing tasks at once and meet deadlines
- Organizes and oversees all aspects of the licensing/credentialing process
- Coordinates with insurance payers to complete provider enrollment applications
- Works with Arkana physicians to complete necessary paperwork, obtain fingerprints, background screening, Continuing Medical Education and answer questions about the licensing and credentialing process
- Stays up to date with changes in regulations and standards from organizations such as CAQH and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Maintains accurate records and ensures that all licensing/credentialing documents are current and comply with industry standards
- Works collaboratively with other departments to resolve licensing/credentialing issues.

You should have:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or combination of High school diploma and relevant experience
Experience:
- Preferred two years of experience with medical billing/collections/payer enrollment/credentialing
- Proficient with various software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), computer systems, web-based applications, and third-party portals
- Medicare and Commercial payer credentialing experience
Other Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to maintain a large workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage and lead a team.
This position is onsite at our Little Rock, AR main office.
