Summary: Fill in where necessary throughout EDJ Child Enrichment Center
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Aid:
- Relieve teachers for 15-minute breaks
- Relieve teachers for 30-minute lunch breaks
- Assist in the cafeteria when needed
- Assist in classrooms when teacher is absent
- Assist in the classroom to allow for teachers’ prep time
- Assist with dismissal
- Meet all licensing regulations at all times
- Maintain confidentiality
- Report any suspicion of abuse or neglect to supervisor (Reports should also be made to the Child Abuse Hotline)
- Other duties as assigned
- Available to work at both daycare locations in Little Rock
- Available to work flexible shifts when needed
Lead Teacher
- Plan short and long-term activities in accordance with the curriculum objectives
- Prepare lesson plans for the classroom
- Meet the social, emotional, and cognitive need of each child in the classroom
- Complete developmental assessments on all children in the classroom
- Maintain classroom records
- Maintain all appropriate records such as child records, attendance, time sheets, etc.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment
- Arrange classroom environment to reflect the lesson that is currently being taught
- Coordinate classroom fieldtrips after approval from administration
- Supervise classroom aides and volunteers
- Encourage aide to contribute to curriculum planning
- Report child progress and development to parents
- Maintain open communication with parents on a daily basis
- Conduct parent/child conferences
- Maintain accident records
- Inspect and replace all damaged materials
- Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings
- Meet all licensing regulations at all times
- Maintain confidentiality

Floaters

Requirements

- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Must have a positive attitude and serve as a role model to children in the program
- Must be a creative thinker
- Must enjoy working with school aged children
Education and/or Experience
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 1 years of childcare experience
**Criminal and Central Registry Background checks will be conducted on all applicants who are selected**
**Drug Screens will be administered on applicants who are selected**
