ARM Energy’s Energy Services team is seeking qualified candidates for a Gas Scheduler based out of our Houston office.
Position Overview:
The scheduler is primarily responsible for coordination of physical delivery of products and fulfilling customer orders and/or demands. The employee uses discretion and independent judgement in reconciling nominations, as well as entering appropriate nominations to successfully generate accurate pricing and customer invoices for the Accounting group.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs gas scheduling functions related to accurate and timely pipeline nominations.
- Supports safe, reliable, and efficient product delivery to internal and external customers through the effective management of the secondary transport scheduling system for natural gas pipelines
- Receives the order nomination and effectively plans, coordinates, and tracks through the completion of physical delivery of products
- Identifies and assists in mitigation of supply disruptions by monitoring nominations and industry information regarding supply/demand trends and planned or unplanned supply disruptions
- Manages pipeline imbalances and optimizes pipeline capacities
- Confirms upstream and downstream contract numbers with all parties
- Inputs best available volumes in the Company’s trading system
- Acts as a liaison with settlements team on pipeline invoice reconciliations and customer invoice volume discrepancies
- Responsible for generating accurate purchaser and producer invoices
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 2 years of relevant experience in scheduling, supply, or logistics or related industry experience required
- Possesses ability to optimize logistics to meet customer needs and maximize gross margin
- Excellent problem-solving skills leading to effective decision making
- Demonstrated record of delivery on value adding projects and programs
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
