Company: Republic Extrusions – Team Pride Extrusions, located in Megargel, Texas, is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs. Our facility sits on 10 acers with 85k square feet of manufacturing space with over 70 employees where we extrude aluminum, paint with powder-coat finish, and fabricate (CNC machining and punching) material.

Summary: We are seeking a full-time Plant Manager to provide direction and oversight for all processes occurring within and related to product realization including extrusion, powder coat, fabrication (CNC machining & punching), maintenance, and shipping. The Plant Manager is also responsible for monitoring overall performance and assuring that ongoing continuous improvement takes place within every process to drive safety and efficiency. With responsibility for more than 70 employees working two shifts the Plant Manager ensures all workers are safe and productive in manufacturing quality products on time and on budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for Operations ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity are monitored and improved as required.
• Act as the principal point of contact for Republic Extrusions plant working collaboratively with all departments to develop and execute manufacturing strategies that optimize operations and deliver bottom line results.
• Assist in developing Republic Extrusions technical and operating capabilities through a suitably developed and administered training and development program.
• Monitor all operations for safety, environmental, and housekeeping concerns and ensure action is taken to protect the health and welfare of our employees and our environment.
• Work with Department Managers to ensure appropriate scheduling and availability of resources such that customer requirements are continuously met.
• Ensure that all elements of the Republic Extrusions Quality Management System are being followed.
• Assist in the development and execution of operating and capital budgets.
• Work with technical team to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement new technology and improve methods in Republic Extrusions Operations.
• Ensures Republic Extrusions remains compliant in all OHSA, Environmental and compliance related issues.
• Work with the Sales Manager to proactively prepare operations for growth.
• Participate as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team providing wisdom, insight, and a commitment to collaborate, communicate & coordinate Republic Extrusions strategy
• Work with department managers and process owners to monitor progress of continuous improvement projects
• Assure the availability of resources needed for continuous improvement.
• Review daily, weekly, monthly production performance with department managers and identify areas of needed improvements
• Provide direct support to the Quality Manager to escalate replacement orders for customer rejects and assure that corrective actions are completed, verified and communicated back to the customer.
• Participate in daily production meetings to assure that day-to-day needs and expectations are being communicated and met
• Assist in the professional development of other management team members.
• Assist the HR Director in the development and enforcement of company policy as it relates to safety, conduct and attendance.
• Conduct performance evaluations for various department managers and leaders
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: All production department managers and/or leaders

Qualifications / Competencies / Knowledge / Skills

• A proven record of senior management success in a fast paced, customer focused, manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with business compliance requirements.
• Ability to develop strong teams and relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and other key business partners.
• Experience in strategic planning and optimization of resources, plant expansions, upgrades, and renovations.
• Experience in managing safety, quality, productivity, and cost in a capital-intensive operation.
• Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
• Proven ability to Lead, to Collaborate and to Execute.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge and experience in the aluminum manufacturing industry.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role (Required). Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Preferred).

Language/Communication Skills: English speaking is required, bilingual is ideal. Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed).
