The purpose of the Account Manager role at Armorock is to serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments, ensuring a seamless, accurate, and timely experience throughout the sales and order lifecycle. This role is critical in identifying project opportunities, delivering tailored quoting solutions, managing submittals and releases, and upholding Armorock’s commitment to exceptional service and communication. Through deep product knowledge, process ownership, and cross-functional collaboration, the Account Manager plays a key role in driving customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct Insight platform searches to identify viable public and private leads.
- Monitor and track Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs) for early-stage opportunities.
- Evaluate developer-driven projects and private sector demand to uncover new prospects.
- Interface with contractors, municipalities, and engineers to understand project requirements.
- Prepare and issue accurate quotes using internal platforms with urgency and prioritization.
- Collaborate with estimating and project management teams to confirm feasibility.
- Prepare and distribute complete submittal packages with all required documentation.
- Manage revisions, engineering calculations, and redlines as needed.
- Proactively communicate submittal status and changes to customers.
- Manage quote-to-release transitions, verifying documentation such as POs, job codes, and drawings.
- Coordinate internally to ensure timely order fulfillment and send release confirmations.
- Provide project manager introductions and ongoing updates.
- Support Sales Managers during trade shows, job site visits, and customer visits (secondary to core responsibilities).
- Log all critical daily activities including key conversations, tasks, and account interactions.
- Maintain detailed account pages for Municipalities, Water Authorities, Engineering Firms, and Contractors, listing key personnel.
- Manage opportunity pipeline with real-time status updates, task pipeline, and next steps.
- Provide weekly feedback to Sales Managers to enhance customer service.
- Deliver quarterly updates to Armorock management identifying areas for improvement in customer experience.
- Participate in at least one Operations Daily Huddle per week for production awareness.
- Maintain ongoing verbal communication with Project Managers regarding project releases and updates.
- Add value in weekly organizational meetings and cross-functional Armorock Committees.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- High competency with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and CRM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong negotiation abilities.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of organization.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven.
- Knowledge of ASTM standards and specifications related to wastewater structures (preferred).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software (a plus).
