**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - PM Shift (7pm - 7am)**

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for the PM shift, working 3x12 hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of patient care across all stages of growth and development, from pediatric to geriatric populations. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following job functions:

Key Responsibilities

• **Assessment Skills:** Perform thorough and systematic assessments, ensuring accuracy in evaluating the growth and development needs of patients at all stages.
• **Clinical Skills:** Demonstrate proficient clinical skills by providing direct patient care activities that align with a patient-centered delivery model, including knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• **Documentation:** Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts, ensuring compliance with documentation guidelines and actively contributing to the nursing process.
• **Professionalism:** Exhibit professional responsibility by adhering to established policies and procedures and identifying areas for personal clinical and professional growth.
• **Patient Satisfaction:** Respond to patients, families, and colleagues in a courteous and positive manner to foster a cooperative and supportive patient care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
• **Safety:** Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocols and the use of two patient identifiers. Utilize safe transfer techniques and appropriate body mechanics to ensure safety for both the patient and self.
• **Unit-Specific Knowledge:** Demonstrate expertise in the care of surgical patients, including knowledge of relevant conditions, procedures, and equipment to ensure individualized patient care throughout the continuum.
• **Responsibility and Accountability:** Prioritize patient care based on individual needs and changes in condition, actively contributing to the perioperative team.
• **Patient Education:** Assess patient and family understanding of surgical procedures and provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative education.
• **Pre-Admission Testing (PAT):** Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate PAT orders for appropriateness based on surgery requirements and patient health status.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Active RN License.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Physical Requirements:** As determined by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
