What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter / Detailer position at Armstrong Steel?
Summary:
Prepare detailed drawings for permit requirements and erection of steel buildings.
Must reside in or around Englewood, CO - NOT A REMOTE POSITION
Essential Functions:
- Prepare permit drawings which are used to assist customers in acquiring building permits. These will include anchor bolt plans, details and reactions.
- Assist detailers in preparing final erection drawings which are used to guide the steel erector in the field. These will include dimensional plans to locate steel members and connection details.
- Assist detailers in producing shop drawings for use in member assembly.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-Must possess drafting experience with 2D CAD and knowledge of 3D CAD preferred.
-Have a good understanding of geometry and trigonometry.
-Have a basic understanding of general fabrication and engineering principles.
-Possess logic and analytical abilities with excellent computer skills in Auto-CAD and Microsoft Office.
-Must also be very detail oriented and organized.
Must reside in or around Englewood, CO - NOT A REMOTE POSITION
Associated degree or certificate of Auto-CAD with six months to one year experience in the drafting field required.
