Job Summary:
ANCC is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Golf Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the operations of a prestigious country club and to work alongside seasoned professionals in the golf industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for golf, a desire to learn, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Duties:
- Assist with daily golf operations, including tournament preparation, member services, and tee-time management.
- Support the coordination and execution of golf events, clinics, and junior programs.
- Provide outstanding service to members and guests, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive golfing experience.
- Help manage the practice range and ensure it is well-maintained and organized.
- Assist with merchandising and inventory control in the pro shop, including sales support and display arrangement.
- Observe and assist with golf lessons and instructional programs, gaining insights into coaching and teaching techniques.
- Collaborate with the grounds team as needed to understand course maintenance and upkeep.
Qualifications Standards:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a program related to Sports Management, Recreation, or a similar field.
- Basic knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and etiquette.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a golf or hospitality setting is a plus.
