As a Direct Support Professional at Arnold Center, Inc., you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities in their daily activities and promoting their independence. This position is essential in helping our clients achieve their personal goals while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
*Some nights and weekends will be required*
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in decision-making and skill-building activities.
- Ensure that residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in client health status.
- Knowledge of assisted living practices and resident rights is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
