The Talent Specialist role is responsible for collaborating with leaders/services partners in attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified candidates who align with the culture and professional future of Arrowhead Credit Union (ACU). This role assists with managing job enrichment programs at ACU. The Talent Specialist is exposed to sensitive and confidential information necessitating considerable use of professionalism, tact, diplomacy, discretion, judgement, and confidentiality of information. The Talent Specialist also provides HR administrative support in team member relations and communications, records management, reporting and analytics, training, and HR compliance.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
  2. Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
  3. Work cooperatively with others as part of a formal or informal team to accomplish department and Credit Union goals.
  4. Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist callers and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
  5. Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Service

  1. Leads by example with a professional and approachable demeanor when assisting team members.
  2. Builds positive relationships with organizational leaders and team members and communicates concisely and effectively.
  3. Partners with fellow Human Resources (HR) team members to ensure synchronized approach to addressing talent needs.
  4. Assists with daily operational tasks including, team member relations and communication, and HR compliance, and employment law adherence.
  5. Builds strong rapport, working closely with team members and leadership to enhance working relationships, build morale, increase productivity, efficiencies and retention.
  6. Travels to ACU operations locations as required, including out-of-state locations.

Recruiting and Onboarding

  1. Assists with creating, maintaining, and updating framework for organization recruitment (including job posting maintenance, resume review, pre-screening, interviewing, and onboarding, etc.) that is efficient and effective.
  2. Assists with mergers and acquisitions in placement, job evaluation, and position assignments comparable to current position or skills.
  3. Creates, updates, and maintains job descriptions, ensuring they are current and accurate. May conduct job evaluations as needed.
  4. Partners with hiring managers to support recruitment activities including job postings, sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and extending offers.
  5. Collaborates with organization leaders to understand and analyze staffing needs and develop talent acquisition strategies.
  6. Collaborate with Marketing to ensure all recruiting platforms are current, updated as required for optimal recruiting outcomes.
  7. Work with and review 3rd party recruiting vendor agreements, recommending use based on organization and department needs.
  8. Support employer branding initiatives through job fairs, social media, and community partnerships.
  9. Creates and updates education (guides, procedures) for team members and leaders with regard to recruiting processes and interview guides.
  10. Communicates offers to candidates, working with HR leadership and hiring managers to determine start dates and ensure pay equity standards are followed.
  11. Ensures all pre-hiring steps are completed accurately, maintaining consistent communication in collaboration with fellow HR team members.
  12. Participates in New Team Member Orientation events and assists with preparation.
  13. Provides HR management with monthly and annual metrics updates on recruiting trends and outcomes.
  14. Recommends process or procedural improvements to ensure all recruiting efforts are communicated and implemented as needed.
  15. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational employment policies and practices.

 Talent & Employee Engagement

  1. Assists in the design and execution of effective employee engagement programs, retention strategies, and talent development initiatives.
  2. Represents and is the primary lead on Job Share, Job Shadow and all job enrichment programs sponsored through Arrowhead Credit Union.
  3. Evaluates job enrichment programs to ensure efficacy and recommends updates based on program performance.
  4. Partners with Learning and Development to review and monitor team member development planning (including mentor alignment and job progression).
  5. Assists with long term talent acquisition and retention strategies.

Development

  1. Exemplifies the attitude, aptitude, and ability to learn quickly and efficiently while showing assertiveness in personal development.
  2. Independently takes responsibility for learning and development by acquiring and refining of technical and professional skills needed in job-related areas.
  3. Provides feedback on department policies and processes to improve efficiency and service outcomes.
  4. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  5. Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), and complies with all laws/regulations applicable to area(s) of responsibility. Completes all required and assigned training modules by established due dates.
  6. Maintains working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
  7. Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor/leadership as necessary to achieve the goals of the Credit Union and the department.

The pay range for this position is listed below.  

Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our compensation approach is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers are extended based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity. 

Pay range 

Minimum: $27.55/hour | Midpoint: $34.44/hour | Maximum: $41.33/hour 

Salary : $28 - $41
