Electronics Assembler – Level 2

Arroyo Instruments, a San Luis Obispo-based manufacturer of precision electronic instruments, is looking for a smart, motivated assembler to join our production team. Arroyo Instruments services a world-wide customer base with innovative products and services for the laser and LED industry. This is an mid-level assembler position which requires experience in the manufacturing environment.

Work Experience / Education:

• 4 – 6 years of work experience, or equivalent, in an electronics manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma

Job Requirements:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Work independently, show initiative, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Read engineering drawings, work with and measure in English and Metric units
• Build most Arroyo Instruments fixtures and device mounts (or demonstrates ability to learn)
• Soldering competency for wire harness and PCB assembly
• Complete most tasks without oversight
• Lift and move 50 pounds unassisted

Duties:

• Measuring, cutting, and striping wires and cables
• Mechanical assembly of small enclosures and machined components
• Cable assembly and testing, either by soldering or crimping tools
• Circuit board assembly, including mounting of ICs, heat sinks, and SMT components
• Training of other employees may be required
• Miscellaneous stock room tasks as required

This is a full-time day-shift position, with hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and a 30 minute lunch break. Compensation depends on experience, and includes benefits. Overtime is occasionally available.
