We are currently looking for part-time, experienced Bartenders to add to our O'Neill's Bar and Grill team.
Hours:
Various shifts on an as-needed basis, but must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Welcome each guest personally and present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
- Must know food, cocktail, beer and wine menu as well as daily specials.
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt onto the register system and use proper cash handling procedures.
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Ensure that all servers receive their drink orders in a timely manner.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion.
- Complete daily opening and closing side work as well as bar beautification duties for each day of the week as assigned by the O’Neill’s Manager.
- Clear and reset tables in bar area and wash and sterilize glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to O’Neill’s Restaurant Manager.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience bartending in a similar capacity.
- Must have knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food
- Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be 21 years of age and possess Tips and Food Handlers cards
