Description
Position Summary:
The process quality technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure the product quality. The process quality technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods, processes and products, ensuring proper procedures are being followed and documented in order to maintain product quality and records traceability. The process quality technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, to all quality system requirements and to all environmental requirements,
- Conduct receiving , in process and final inspection as required,
- Ability to communicate at all levels, including vendors and customers,
- Provide measurement equipment training,
- Assist with problem solving - root cause analysis - corrective action,
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results,
- Create rework tickets and/or generate reject tags,
- Perform basic mathematical/geometry calculations,
- Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions,
- Audit and maintenance of compliance to required quality management system standards,
- Provide management with detailed quality reports as required - daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
- Other duties as required by quality management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Work overtime with weekends to support varying production schedules,
- Lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit and walk,
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment,
- Work part as a team,
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use problem-solving tools/methodology and experience with successful implementation of solutions,
- Encompass mechanical knowledge of machines, tools and manufacturing processes,
- Prior experience of designing, creating and building equipment with little to no direction or plans,
- Ability to obtain an Artcobell Industrial Forklift Certification.
Salary : $31,100 - $39,400
