About the Role: Retail Company
We’re growing our finance team as part of a company-wide reorganization and the buildout of a new shared services structure. We're looking for a high-performing Senior Staff Accountant to help lead core accounting functions across a multi-location retail business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and support month-end close activities across multiple entities/locations
- Handle inventory accounting, including reconciliations, shrink, and COGS analysis
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes in a fast-paced environment
- Support journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Proactively seek out areas to support beyond core responsibilities
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-location retail
- Strong knowledge of inventory and or fixed asset accounting
- Proven experience in month-end close
- A “hustle” mentality
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a shared services or corporate accounting environment
- Retail industry experience at scale (e.g. national chains or high-growth)
