Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
- Administer medications as required during imaging procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their comfort during procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for accurate imaging interpretation.
- Ability to administer medications safely within the scope of practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
