The Director of Procurement will lead and oversee all procurement functions for Artis Senior Living’s multi-site portfolio, ensuring alignment with company standards, community needs, and strategic sourcing goals. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service quality, optimizing spending, and enabling community operations to run smoothly and efficiently.
- Serve as the primary procurement advisor and support resource for all Artis communities, ensuring timely, accurate, and responsive purchasing support.
- Provide daily purchasing support to multiple senior living communities, acting as the first point of contact for procurement-related questions, product sourcing, and order troubleshooting.
- Lead the development and continual refinement of procurement policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure consistency and alignment with company procurement standards across all locations.
- Lead procurement projects that require oversight, budget tracking, and collaboration with senior leadership.
- Develop RFQs and RFPs, assist in evaluating responses, and coordinate supplier selection and contracting.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, service-level agreements, and ongoing performance evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Professional certification (CPPO, CPPB, CPSM, or similar) may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in senior living, healthcare, multi-family, or hospitality sectors.
- Hands-on experience supporting daily procurement needs for multi-location operations.
- Deep familiarity with Direct Supply, DSSI or similar e-procurement systems.
- Proven ability to manage vendor negotiations and contract execution at both national and regional levels.
