Position: Warehouse Associate

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Highlights of position:

• 4 day work week

Summary of Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring inventory processes and procedures are executed at all times. This candidate will be responsible for checking in product correctly invoicing product to customers, rotating product, and ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed in the process. This candidate will be a team player and help out in delivery capacity when necessary.

Job Duties: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Use rotating system to maintain fresh and accurate inventory control with special emphasis on date codes and moving product before expiration dates.
• ∙ Receive trailers of product and move product from truck to warehouse for proper rotation operating high-low forklift to unload trailers.
• Fill delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Prepare products for customer deliveries the day before scheduled delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, staging products and loading trucks in specific order based on delivery route as indicated on delivery sheet.
• Each order must be confirmed for accuracy and initialed by employee who loads the order. Delivery sheet must be initialed by each employee confirming the order is correct.
• Assist the warehouse with stocking to include lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on appropriate shelves.
• Pick up merchandise and invoices from warehouse and vendors.
• Assist with the delivery of merchandise to customers, when needed.
• Provide high quality customer service by handling all customer interactions and

transactions in a professional and enthusiastic manner.

• Ensure all workstations and scales are cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis.
• Fill out temperature/shipping logs before leaving warehouse, following "precool" protocol
• Clean and sweep cooler; break down (flatten) and/or dispose of all cardboard packages on a daily basis.
• Monitor temperature logs in cooler and on trucks on a daily basis.
• Must be familiar with product identification, case counts and other product knowledge.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, inside and outside, and in good working condition.
• Ensure all company safety guidelines are met and report any known safety violations to management.
• Must be available to work additional hours, which may include weekends and/or holidays, as required by management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience: Computer Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior work-related experience helpful ∙

Work Environment:

Employee must be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment at 34-36 degrees during their shift.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk and hear and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, ability to adjust focus and see clearly.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
