Assist the classroom teacher and students with instructional and non-instructional activities necessary for the implementation of a functional class environment that enhances student learning and responsible behavior. Assumes professional responsibility for assisting all teachers in specialized learning experiences and supervision of children with or without disabilities in a supportive and positive classroom climate that develops in each child the skills, attitutes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the Teaching and Learning Standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Teacher Aide work collaboratively with other members of the school staff, particularly the Child Study Team, and with parents of each child.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have completed at least 2 years of study at an institute of higher education (earned minimum 48 college credits) Or hold an Associates Degree or higher
- Fluency in a second language is preferred
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Show evidence of successful experience in working with children of preschool ages and needs
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
