What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Control Clerk position at Asc Process Systems?
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examines documents, such as drawings, procedures, work instructions, and forms to verify compliance with document and drawing control policies.
Data entry of preliminary, non-conforming reports.
Scanning and data entry of completed drawings, inspection reports, and customer approval drawings into the OMS system.
Confers with document originators or engineering personnel to resolve discrepancies on drawings and documents.
Assures that only the latest revision of drawings or documents are released within the document release system.
Physically removes obsolete revisions from circulation prior to release.
Responsible for maintaining control of all production release drawings from initial release through completion of product.
Performs audits and reports overdue non-conformance reports. Open inspections and pending corrective actions.
Responsible for issuing drawings to the Purchasing department.
Responsible for ordering mechanical and electrical labels.
Responsible for generating terminal and wire labels for the Electrical department.
Prepares operational manuals for completed jobs.
Assists with all other miscellaneous projects and tasks.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the DC Supervisor and Quality Manager.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, WORK EXPERIENCE, VALUES:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of general clerical and/or document control experience. Experience
working within an engineering documentation environment, preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Type
minimum 30 wpm. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Expected to demonstrate compatibility with ASC’s stated Team Values

team player, working efficiently and demonstrating a focus on producing quality work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time is common. For purpose of collecting or distributing document
control paperwork, such as production drawings, or completing similar tasks. Must be able to spend limited amounts of time in
a heavy manufacturing environment that is not air-conditioned and has exposure to noise and dust/particles caused by welding
and other fabrication activities associated with the production of industrial process equipment. PPE will be required including
hard hats, protective glasses, and ear protection. Additional protective devices such as dust masks are available.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
